VALENTINO: 1930 Hupmobile 4-door sedan

Brothers Robert and Lois Hupp founded the Hupp Motor Car
Company in 1909. Strong styling and build quality were
synonymous with Huppmobiles but despite this the Hupp
Motor Car Company declared bankruptcy in 1940.

The Model S was produced between 1930 and 1932. Our
1930 Hupmobile 4-door sedan is in burgundy with wooden
spoke wheels and we named it after the heartthrob star
of 1920’s silent movies Rudolf Valentino.

Did you know that in the year this vehicle was built:

  • American astronomer Clyde Tombaugh discovered Pluto

  • Gandhi marched 200-miles in protest against British Law

  • Greta Garbo starred in the first talking film, Anna Christle

  • The author of Sherlock Homes, Arthur Conan Diyle, died

People born in 1930: Neil Armstrong, Ray Charles, Ruth Rendell, Steve McQueen, Clint Eastwood, Sean Connery and Richard Harris.
